In an effort to be more accessible for our residents, Clay County Register of Deeds is now accepting debit cards and credit cards in addition to cash payments.

It’s funny how often I’d put off a trip to the register’s office because I rarely carry checks anymore. This makes a big difference for anyone who doesn’t keep cash handy. Wonder if it cuts down on forgotten paperwork too?
