Assumed Business Name Act

  • Jun 10, 2022
  • 1 min read

As of Dec. 1, 2017: When one files with the County Register of Deeds, the county sends a copy of the Assumed Business Name Certificate to the NC Secretary of State.

This allows for the filing to be recorded locally and then available online via the internet. Any business that filed before December 1, 2017 must re-file by Dec 1, 2022 or the business name may be terminated or deleted, or not legally compliant to use it.

I can’t stop playing Drive Mad online! The levels are challenging without being frustrating, and it’s amazing how each stage introduces new tricks to keep things fresh.

the law modernized the filing system while also imposing a strict deadline for older registrations. Businesses that did not update their filings risk losing the legal right to operate under their assumed name, GeoGuessr making compliance with the re-filing requirement essential.
